Independent Consultant and Training Specialist (March 2004 to Present). Offering legal specific computer training and consulting services as an independent contractor. Services include:

  • Conducting in-house and on-site training sessions of office technologies in a one-on-one, group or classroom setting

  • Facilitating the creation and development of a new training program and/or training department

Akerman Senterfitt P.A. Orlando, Fl. (July 2003 – February 2004.) Managing varied programs and projects aimed at integrating technology into the business of law through training and education for a firm of 1,000.

  • Supervised internal training specialists and external training vendors in the development and delivery of training programs and managed processes associated with multifaceted training activities.

  • Supervised the creation, development and enhancement of education and training programs, which included curriculum content and design, updates, new course development, vendor relationship management, research and identification of training trends and vehicles

  • Led business-process redesign projects that introduced new methodologies and practices which increased efficiency and output of attorneys and staff by working closely with Practice Group Chairs and Office Administrators

  • Served as liaison between IT, HR, Accounting and Marketing and end users to introduce new software’s, processes and procedures

  • Designed, supervised and brokered the delivery of training programs to align learning and training objectives with firm automation and business goals

  • Created unique “eXpert Tracks” recognition program which rewards staff by designating Subject Matter Experts in a specific skill sets – “Document eXperts”, “PowerPoint eXperts” and “Document Automation eXperts”

  • Introduced and moderated user “Focus Groups” to gather feedback and needs, to promote knowledge sharing and to encourage resource pooling

  • Oversaw the daily operations and long-term projects of a multidisciplinary I.T. staff, whose goals were to develop, manage, and analyze technology opportunities to improve business workflow
