Adriana Linares is the president and founder of LawTech Partners, a training and consulting firm specializing in the legal community. The firm's services include legal technology consulting and law office software training. Adriana is a legal technology trainer and consultant with a passion for the business and technology of law. Adriana is a frequent speaker at national technology conferences and a regular contributor to legal and business publications. She spent four years on the Planning Board of the ABA TECHSHOW, two years as an editor for Technolawyer's Blawgworld and remains an active member of the Law Practice Management Section of the ABA and the Legal Marketing Association. She currently serves as a technology consultant to the Florida Bar Communications Committee and as Chair of the Research & Technology Subcommittee of the Law Practice Management Section of the ABA. She eagerly Chairs the Technology Section of the Osceola County Bar, overseeing their “No Attorney Left Behind” initiative – a technology competence training program. She has a Bachelors in Geography from Stetson University, a Masters in Corporate Communication and Technology from Rollins and speaks fluent Spanish.

Allan Mackenzie is a 25-year veteran of the legal technology world. His experience ranges from that of a former night-shift word processor to a Wall Street IT Director with a specialty in litigation technology. Known for his “known-nonsense to no-nonsense” approach to practice management and technology, Allan has acted as architect and implementer of successful strategies that win the hearts and minds of management, financial and technology leaders. Regardless of his hat - IT Director, Consultant, Desktop Architect, Lecturer or Trainer - Allan has been able to successfully gage and bridge gaps between legal and technology factions and create holistic solutions that move firms forward whether 6 or 600 strong.

 

Both formal education and the school of hard knocks have brought Allan back to the world of consulting. As a former legal word processor he knows firsthand the user experience of work product. As a Microsoft Support Analyst and Worldwide Training Lead, he is steeped in the technological ins and outs of PC and server architecture, Active Directory and Application Customization. As a certified ProLaw® andTimeMatters® consultant, he “speaks database.” As IT Director and Consultant he has overseen and implemented conversions of email, document management, telephony and accounting platforms (right down to the chart of accounts). As an IT Director, he has led the charge in multiple-year litigation with discovery volumes measured in terabytes. As end-user trainer, he has demystified Word Styles and the mouse’s right-click.
